After shooting content for GINGER&ME for years and falling in love with just about everything in the range, there was one product I quietly avoided: the Foot Peel.
Not because I didn’t believe in it, I’ve seen the before and afters (and, let’s be real, they’re wild). But because I knew exactly what I was in for: days of peeling, shedding, flaking feet and I couldn’t find a time in my busy social calendar to fit that in.
Still, after being reassured that the peeling stage doesn’t last all week, and with everyone in the office swearing it’s worth it, I finally gave in. And honestly? I’m kicking myself (softly, with smooth heels) for waiting so long.
Day 1–4: The Calm Before the Peel
The Foot Peel process is simple, slip on the booties, sit back, and put your feet up for 90 minutes. It’s completely pain-free and surprisingly relaxing, as long as you stay put. (Trust me, walking in them is a sport in itself.)
For the first few days, though, absolutely nothing happened. My feet looked the same and I started to wonder if maybe mine just didn’t need it. Then came Day 5. After my shower, I noticed the first tiny flakes of skin starting to lift — it was officially happening.
Day 5–9: The Great Reveal
This is where the magic happens. My feet started shedding (we’re talking visible transformation), and while it sounds gross, there’s something strangely satisfying about seeing all that dull, dry skin disappear to reveal soft, new skin underneath.
